Richard L. Mattiaccio

Richard L. Mattiaccio is a partner at Allegaert Berger & Vogel PC active in its arbitration, cross-border litigation and intellectual property practices. He has served as chair, sole and wing arbitrator for over 30 years on international tribunals and domestic panels, including in complex cases under AAA/ICDR, ICC, UNCITRAL, CPR Institute and JAMS rules. He also has arbitrated separation disputes between partners and their law firms under NY City Bar rules. He has mediated business-to-business disputes on an ad hoc basis and for the ICDR, Commercial Division NY County, and the Southern District of New York. He is a New York-born dual US-Italy citizen bi-lingual in Italian and has successfully conducted business mediation entirely in Italian.
Mr. Mattiaccio is a Chartered Arbitrator (C Arb) and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). He is a Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators (CCA) and a Member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (NADN). He currently chairs the CIArb NY Branch and the International Commercial Disputes Committee (ICDC) of the New York City Bar Association. He was a founding director of the New York International Arbitration Center, Inc. (NYIAC) and a member of NYIAC’s Executive Committee from its founding until 2019. He was a founding co-chair of the IDR Committee of the NYSBA Dispute Resolution Section (DRS). He is a member of the International Arbitration Club of New York and contributes to AAA, NY City Bar, CIArb and NYSBA-sponsored CLE programs.
