In her role as Chief Risk Counsel for the Risk/Loss Mitigation COE, Pamela and her team of attorneys partners with the Loss Mitigation Center of Excellence for complex restructurings, as well as litigation groups across the company, to provide legal advice on all facets of complex workouts, restructurings, bankruptcies and litigations, including providing legal, operational and documentation advice. In this role, she and her team work closely with their business counterparts and participate in new restructuring and litigation initiatives, manage outside counsel, participate in compliance matters and work closely with the GECC Litigation and Bankruptcy and Restructuring Legal COE counsel. In her role at GE, Pamela actively supports the use of ADR. She is a member of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution and chairperson of the CPR Banking and Financial Services Committee.
Pamela joined General Electric Capital Corporation’s Commercial Equipment Financing division in 2003. Prior to joining GE, she worked for the law firms of Ivy, Barnam & O’Mara in Greenwich, Connecticut from 2001 to 2003, Dale, Wind & Dale in New Cannan, Connecticut from 2000 to 2001, and for the law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLC in New York, New York from 1986 through 1996. Pamela’s practice focused on complex restructuring and bankruptcies, in which capacity she represented debtors, large institutional creditors, and creditors’ committees. Pamela received a B.S. in 1979 from Stanford University and a J.D. in 1986 from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law.
