Michelle is chair of the Residential, Resort & Club Section and a shareholder in GrayRobinson’s Boca Raton office. Recognized for her extensive experience in real estate development and club and community association law, she assists her developer, club and hotel operator clients with projects in the U.S. as well as in the Caribbean, The Bahamas, Latin America and Asia. Her practice focuses on structuring, preparing and amending the necessary documents for residential and resort communities, including branded residences such as master and condominium declarations, management and licensing agreements, club membership plans, rental program documents, reciprocal easement agreements and the related ancillary documents.
Michelle has written and lectured extensively on the issues concerning golf and residential communities, such as mandatory membership and club management strategies, and authored the book The Club Litigation Book – Keeping Clubs out of Court. She served as a founding member of the National Golf Industry Advisory Committee and sat on the board of the Golf Course Builders Association of America. As a Florida Supreme Court qualified arbitrator and certified circuit civil mediator, Michelle is one of only a handful of professionals selected for the National Golf Industry Panel of the American Arbitration Association. When assisting clients, she utilizes her dispute resolution experience to provide counsel with a view toward dispute avoidance.
Michelle is committed to community service and was recognized by The Florida Bar for establishing "Assisting Students with Disabilities," a pro bono program serving disabled students throughout the state of Florida. She sits on the board of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce and, as chair of the International Trade Committee, is credited with creating iConnect, a forum designed to expand international business opportunities in south Florida.
