Megan Dover has been an HR professional for nearly a decade. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Professional Studies in Human Resources and Employment Relations with a concentration in Labor and Collective Bargaining from the Pennsylvania State University.
Megan has been employed in various HR roles in both the private and public sectors, which has allowed her to wear many different hats including disability management; recruitment and retention; drug and alcohol testing coordination; employment relations; contract negotiation; reasonable accommodation coordination; and labor relations. Currently, Megan is a Labor Relations Specialist within the public sector. As a Labor Relations Specialist, Megan and her work unit are responsible for responding to grievances and complaints; providing interpretation to applicable collective bargaining agreements, agency work rules, and other applicable rules and regulations; providing management guidance in performance, investigatory, or disciplinary matters; conducting investigations; recommending disciplinary actions; providing training and coaching to management on labor relations topics; and presenting cases on behalf of an agency at arbitrations and hearings.
