Should you need to cancel your registration, send your written request via email to AAAEducation@adr.org by May 25, 2023 for a refund of 50% of your registration fee. We regret that no refunds can be made after May 25, 2023. Substitution of attendees can be made at any time.

The 2023 American Arbitration Association® Construction Conference focuses on best practices for avoiding and managing disputes on complex construction projects from the planning stages through completion of the project.

A Breakfast with General Counsel opens the conference, discussing current issues important to construction companies, continuing with sessions on:

• Risky Business: Construction Disputes as Risk Management Problems;
• The New AAA DARB Rules – Changes and New Opportunities;
• Game Changer Takeaways in Construction Dispute Resolution;
• Incorporating “International” Arbitration Techniques into Domestic Arbitration Proceedings;
• Ethics Issues with Virtual Hearings and Document Production; and more.

Attendees will leave with techniques and best practices in dispute avoidance and resolution strategies for complex construction projects.

AAA EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

As part of its long-standing, ongoing educational mission, the American Arbitration Association grants a limited number of scholarships that cover the cost of educational program registration. Scholarship eligibility is limited to students, government workers, retired professionals, arbitrators/mediators who are no longer active on the AAA roster, and others as may be determined by the AAA. To request a registration fee scholarship, please send an email to Scholarships@adr.org. Include your current position and affiliation, and a brief description of the basis for your registration fee scholarship request. The American Arbitration Association reserves the right to grant or deny any request based on the information provided by the requesting individual and available space in the program.

 If you are an AAA Panelist please note this program does not satisfy your annual Arbitrator Continuing Education (ACE) requirement.
