Faculty and Summary

This is an invitation-only training, limited to IFTA (Independent Film & Television Alliance) Arbitrators on the ICDR Panel.

Interactive Live Zoom Training
The program will be hosted on Zoom, and a link will be sent prior to the training date.
Day 1 - 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PT
Day 2 - 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PT

The program is designed to produce lively interactive discussion and will assist all arbitrators in further developing best practices in the management of IFTA international arbitration cases.

The workshop primarily consists of six (6) interactive exercises covering:

- Preparing for the Preparatory Conference
- Managing Preparatory Conference Issues
- Managing Problems Between the Preparatory Conference and the Evidentiary Hearing
- IFTA Rule and Case Management Specifics
- Managing Evidentiary Hearing Problems
- Managing Post-Hearing, Award, and Post-Award Problems

After 2022, this ICDR International Symposia in Advanced Case Management Issues course will be a requirement for those that want to be listed and serve as arbitrators on IFTA cases.


As part of its long-standing, ongoing educational mission, the American Arbitration Association grants a limited number of scholarships that cover the cost of educational program registration. Scholarship eligibility is limited to students, government workers, retired professionals, arbitrators/mediators who are no longer active on the AAA roster, and others as may be determined by the AAA. To request a registration fee scholarship, please send an email to Scholarships@adr.org. Include your current position and affiliation, and a brief description of the basis for your registration fee scholarship request. The American Arbitration Association reserves the right to grant or deny any request based on the information provided by the requesting individual and available space in the program.



CLE Information:

IFTA will apply for and offer California CLE for this program.

Because of the broad range of locations of those on this panel, CLE is not offered in any jurisdiction other than California.  On request, a certificate of completion can be provided.
