This program is designed to teach participants the do’s and don’ts for witness examination to present to an arbitrator. With the use of lectures, facilitated discussions, and practical exercises, the experienced faculty will discuss:

  • Framing the Questions
  • Effective direct and cross-examination
  • Techniques
  • Objections and Hearsay

Attendees will gain strategies and tips from the experts that will assist them in preparing witnesses for arbitration and examining them at the hearing.

Labor and management representatives including union representatives, human resource professionals, attorneys, business agents, and individuals who assist advocates in the preparation and presentation of evidence for labor arbitration cases will find the information in this program invaluable.

 

AAA EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE
As part of its long-standing, ongoing educational mission, the American Arbitration Association grants a limited number of scholarships that cover the cost of educational program registration. Scholarship eligibility is limited to students, government workers, retired professionals, arbitrators/mediators who are no longer active on the AAA roster, and others as may be determined by the AAA. Include your current position and affiliation, and a brief description of the basis for your registration fee scholarship request.
